Comfort Suites

Booked two nights via third party. Cancelled the first night via the same third party days in advance of the scheduled stay. My account was charged (pre authorized) FOUR times for the amount of the stay. One authorization was refunded and one was used for the night we stayed. Rather than refund the other two, which is obviously possible as it was done once already, I was told I had to wait for the auths to drop. The entire property is under construction and we had to navigate debris everywhere to get inside. There were workers on scaffolding RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW. The AC in the room was set to 72 when we walked in, but it was AT LEAST 80 degrees. I went to Panama City for some business and stayed at this hotel. The entire building was being renovated and they put me in a really nice room and had already been renovated and the man at the desk was extremely friendly and the housekeeping was extremely attentive to keeping the place clean even though there was construction going on.

I called in a panic at 12am. We'd booked through Booking.com after a HORRIBLE experience in Dothan, AL. I called to make sure everything went through with the reservations. I asked Jonoy (night audit) if the rooms were clean and without roaches. I explained we were two hours out. We got here, he was so helpful and reassuring. He let me check both rooms before we unloaded. The ac was running, and the rooms had been prepped and ready. The beds were wonderful. The room and premises were clean. It was very quiet even on a Saturday night. Breakfast was great. Ms. Mildred kept everything stocked and clean. There were several choices. I'm so thankful for this hotel and would highly recommend it!

Positive: Comfortable beds. Great hot breakfast. Clean. Gym was clean and had great equipment. Negative: The carpet seems a little on the dirty side. Baseboards weren’t kept clean well. Room was a little stuffy if the AC wasn’t on.

Because I booked a non cancelable room and a real emergency happened right before we were scheduled to leave. My husband was taken by ambulance to Doctors Hospital in Sarasota on Sunday 8/10 with pneumonia and sepsis. I was at the hospital until 10 pm. I called the next day to see if I could cancel or even change the date to a later time because we weren’t able to travel now. I thought if they could make it for a tentative date later I would have time to plan it with the rest of the family I was meeting in that area and we could go another time. But I was in the middle of a crisis and couldn’t pick a date right then. They wouldn’t do either.
