Comfort Suites Monaca

Do NOT stay at this hotel if you are a smoker. You are NOT welcomed by the manger if you smell like cigarette smoke. She was dramatically coughing and expected us to read her mind. When she asked us to back away, we did and she made us wait for the next person to clock in to check us in. As we were talking to the new lady, the manager came to yell at my husband and suddenly she wasn’t coughing anymore and was fine. Because of the manager, we didn’t even feel comfortable going to breakfast. The manger lied about the situation and when I called corporate about our awful experience, they didn’t do anything. I told them to look at the camera to see what actually happened and nothing was done. To make matters even worse, the room we got was not the room pictured in the photos that we selected.

I just wanted to say that the front desk lady Hurria was so helpful, pleasant, kind and went above and beyond to help me and my wife upon check in. I wish there were more ladies like her working for the Comfort Suites. She made sure everything about our situation was less stressful and easy going and so easy to handle. I will forever be grateful for Hurria’s professionalism,yet concerns about our issues. The Choice Hotels App made a mistake not the hotel itself. Hurria saved the day. She will always be a hero in our eyes. Thank you so much for everything 😊

The room was very clean and spacious but the beds were not good. There was a big dip in the middle that made it pretty uncomfortable. Also they were advertised as queen beds and were actually full sized. When we scanned the QR code it said there was a hot tub. There was not. We paid $142 for a room that was not as advertised. That being said, the employees were friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast was pretty good. We only needed it for one night so it was ok.

The price is good but quality is going down. Breakfast is not very good, selection, quality and amount has been worse with every visit. This time the coffee cups were much smaller, eggs and sausage look very bad, cereal super small, muffins were hard and dry. The option is for the lower price do you get breakfast somewhere else or is it better to pay more at another hotel which includes a better breakfast. Also it is scary when you arrive late to check in , about 9pm. No one at the front desk, no one answers phone, you have to wait for employee to arrive to wait on you. I have never see a hotel with no one to contact if you need.

Room was large, clean, and smelled amazing. TV was big and had a lot of channels. Shower was amazing. The front desk still accommodated me and my service dog even when they didn't have room on the first floor. Would definitely stay here again.
