Comfort Suites Idabel

Three starts maybe too high, but I'm trying to be positive. They are in the middle of a remodel and rooms are at various stages in this process. Pets are welcome so that's a plus, plenty of lighting in the parking lot. Water pressure was good, but the showers are built for short people. Our TV would get really bright, then dark, would turn off and back on all on its own. Our room had two refrigerators and they were both working. Staff was not at the check in desk unless you really tried to find them. Breakfast was included, some items were good, others appeared old.

It appears this hotel is going through a renovation. However, we have been staying at this location for the past several years and they have been going through a renovation. I know that long at least every time we have stayed there It’s not been up to par. The room was just OK. At least the sheets were clean. There was a roach in the coffee pot. The drain in the Jacuzzi tub was corroded over. The bathroom floor was dirty. This particular room had not been finished. The halls were way less than standard. We also had family that stayed in rooms there that told us their room was horrible. The commode was broken. The tubs were stained floor is dirty. Just way way way below standard. We stayed here for a 2‑night, 3‑day New Year trip to Broken Bow, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The room quality was far below what we expected or paid for. AC issues: The air conditioner wasn’t working properly and made a loud, constant noise throughout the night. After a long day of travel, we were too exhausted to go back downstairs and request a room change, but it made resting very difficult. Poor mattress quality: One of the beds was so worn out that when my child sat on it, it sank almost a foot deep. It felt like a completely collapsed mattress. Incorrect bed size: We booked a room with two queen beds, but the beds provided were clearly closer to full size. This made sleeping uncomfortable for the whole family. The list of things that were problematic is long, including but definitely not limited to - a window so filmy that sunlight could not get in, the pool being closed, thick dusty surfaces in the closet, a remote with dying batteries, but most disappointing - breakfast already completely put away when I went to the dining room 10 minutes before it was supposed to end. (The stay was to include breakfast.) But the biggest kicker is that they attempted to charge my card fraudulently for "damages" to an end table, which the bank quickly ruled in my favor after seeing I had footage of the room that I left in impeccable condition. It caused a lot of extra time on my part to deal with this situation. Infuriating! Stay anywhere else first.

We could not find hotels in Broken Bow, hence decided to come here. It was quiet & nice place. Breakfast was very normal could have had hash browns etc, basically more options. Coffee was so bad, just like water. This is the least expectation when you pay 130$ for a hotel! For this small town, we felt the price was slightly high.
