Comfort Suites Atlantic City North

I am not sure all the horrible complaints/reviews since this is very clearly a economical choice hotel. The rooms were very affordable so my expectations were not that of a 5 star hotel. The service desk check-in was quick and easy. A staff was always quickly available. The hotel is very dated but not a deal breaker for me. The King sized room was clean. Had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee, and TV. No issues with the room at all minus the age (the floor squeaked and some things could be updates but no issues). Service came on night 2 and changed the bedding and towels. We had no issues with noise. The breakfast is a very basic continental breakfast. It had waffle machines which I dis not expect to see. We stayed 3 nights with no major issues. My biggest complaint was the strong pool smell

bad check in experience at front desk. I dont think being called "BRO" by the desk clerk is professional nor appropriat. Strong smoke smell in first room we were given. No facial tissues in second room and no hand towels. Air condition barely worked. we were told that there were no facial tissues anywhere in the hotel. we were given napkins. We arrived at breakfast at 8:30 and there were no eggs or sauage left. When we asked to have some made we were told they were all out. The orange juice was warm. Bagels were rock hard. No fruit and no danish.

The comfort inn was nice. The breakfast was fresh and good. The room was clean. The hotel location was optimal. My issues were that you had to pay to have a parking space at the hotel and that our room charged was taken out and an amount for the same amount as the room was pending. We were told it would fall off within 24 hrs after arrival. Needless to say 5 days later at check out it was still a pending charge. Charge fell off 6 days later. I would advise the hotel to tell their patrons that if this happens charge falls off in 5-7 days versus having them expect it earlier. That way the hotel guest aren't expecting something unrealistic. Other than those 2 things. Everything else was good.

The room we rented on January 16 - 17 # 310 was freezing when we arrived since there is no forced air system in that hotel (only an HVAC unit for the individual rooms), the phone in the room did not work, the phone in the hallway did not work, one of the lights in the bedroom did not work, the shower only ran lukewarm water, the hair dryer barely worked as well, the sheets were dirty and as a result I got an eye infection which I am now taking an antibiotic for, the room was not even cleaned, the juice machine in the hotel lobby dining area was out of order, the ice machine and "market place" vending machines on the 3rd floor were also out of order! In addition, they have the abominable nerve to charge $10 per day for parking and didn't notify us prior to our stay! I attempted to discuss t
