Comfort Inn & Suites Thomson

I had an extremely good experience at this hotel. We selected this hotel for both location and price. The front desk staff was exceptionally courteous and efficient both when reserving the hotel and at check in. This is not a fancy hotel, nor is it brand new, but it was CLEAN. The room was clearly cleaned by someone with attention to detail. The bed was firm for my tastes, but the bedding was clean and fresh. The bathroom fixtures were not new but they were clean and in perfect repair and the shower had plenty of water pressure. The room was quiet. There was an adequate number of outlets for us to charge our devices. The included breakfast was excellent--hot and tasty and really well done. The breakfast area was CLEAN. Receptionist was courteous and very knowledgeable. The room was clean. The beds were fresh and very comfortable. I’m not sure what was happening with the bathroom though. First, the toilet wouldn’t flush properly with only pee and a small amount of toilet paper in it. I called the front desk to get it plunged or looked at. It was late. After waiting 30 minutes I decided to look down the hallway to see if anyone was coming. Without knocking to let me know they were dropping off the plunger, they just left it outside the door. They should have knocked to let me know it was out there. You could tell that toilet has had mechanical issues. The bowl looked like something metal had scratched it up pretty good. And the seat was loose also. The toilet paper was not on the holder because there were

Positive: "" Negative: It was old, dingy, furniture broken and stained, bath mat dirty, curtains wouldn't close all the way, printing on AC/heat was so small I couldn't read it, toilet had scrape marks on the porcelain (I hope they were scrape marks), and more but no more room

The location needs to turn the logo and parking lot lights on. The place looked closed down since the restaurant in front of it is closed. Made the hotel look sketchy. The front desk clerk was friendly and the breakfast lady was also cheerful.

The hotel is run-down and dated. The furniture is badly scratched, and the sofa was dirty. I also found a bug in the refrigerator, and the walls are paper-thin — I could hear my neighbors’ conversations. However, the front desk staff provides great customer service, and the breakfast is good.
