Comfort Inn & Suites New Iberia - Avery Island

We stayed at the Comfort Inn New Iberia for five nights. The facility was clean and well kept, although showing a bit of normal wear and tear. The staff was courteous and helpful. The manager, Ms. Ella, deserves recognition for going above and beyond our expectations in making sure we had a pleasant day. She greeted guests at breakfast and asked if anyone had issues that needed to be addressed. She then personally overall the resolution. In our case, the room had a sour smell, so she had the room steam cleaned and fans set up to dry it out before we returned at the end of the day. On our final night, smoke was noticeable in the hall, and the perpetrators created a disturbance. Miss Ella handled a difficult situation with exceptional professionalism.

Traveled from Texas for a funeral. There was an issue with my third party reservation. Ms.Barbara Erskine was so professional in her handling of this issue. I can’t thank her enough. On the following day as I was leaving I saw the general manager in the hallway . (I apologize for not remembering her name) She said hello and asked if I needed anything. I have never had a GM ask if I needed anything! My stay was wonderful and comfortable as could be. Great breakfast and coffee. Thank you.

Our stay was great! Tina at the front desk and Ella the manager clearly put their guests first. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Advice I have for others is not to use third party reservations!

The staff was phenomenal. I like that the general manager, Ella Mathews engaged with her visitors. The rooms were so clean and inviting. That bed is to die for. I guarantee you that it will be a superb good nights rest. Breakfast was fresh. I was surprised at the full breakfast offered. They had fresh coffee all day for us. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. Tina was a delight. We stayed during Christmas and she made our stay delightful. Our kids are already asking to come back to New Iberia just to see her and sleep at Comfort Suites again. Thanks for a great experience

Stay away! Unless you want poor customer service and extra charges. I wonder if this place has any type of management? This hotel had the slowest check in process. There was 1 person working the desk and it took her forever to check each person in. There was a long line of people waiting. We checked in only to get to our room and it wasn't ready, called front desk and was told we would just need to wait. No water in the lobby or breakfast area to fill cups. . Then our card was charged $100 for incidentals and still not reversed 3 days later! Tried contacting the hotel multiple times and no one answered the phone. Left messages and sent a message via their site with no response!
