Comfort Inn & Suites near Route 66

I'll start by saying the staff was very friendly. It is very outdated and a lot of things are "broken". The treadmill, the pool, and a side door were some of things that caused an inconvenience. They did allow us to drive across the highway and use the Hampton pool(which was cold), but I think they should of had signs up at the desk notifying people and verbally saying the pool was down. Our kids really wanted to swim, and us adults really wanted to relax . Cleanliness i would give it a 4, I had no issues with that. It just smelled old. Elevators are 2 years past inspection, which definitely is a safety issue that should be addressed. Breakfast was your typical complimentary, so no complaints as that is what's expected. Needs a major renovation. Usually not an issue as we stay with our dogs however EVERY STEP from ANYONE shakes the floors, every door closing can be heard on every floor. Keeping the dogs quiet was very difficult. The pipes make loud noises when shower turns on, the A/C unit makes loud clanking noises. We stayed on the 1st floor and thought the noise was from being on the 1st floor but our 2nd stay we were on the 3rd floor. The 3rd floor was much worse. Much more noise with less people. As an exhotelier I tend to give the benefit of the doubt for many issues. But this property should be closed and renovated.

Positive: The price and location were great. Negative: We brought pizza back from supper and by morning there were ants in the box. Laundry couldn't keeping up with the bookings. We reserved two room and only got one washcloth per rooms.

Only positive was the nice women at the desk upon check out. Other then that it was an overall disgusting experience that I wish upon no one. It took 3 rooms before we got a semi livable one. First room we were given smelled moldy, wasnt cleaned, toilet running like a waterfall nonstop, no towels, hair all over the tub and a/c didnt work and no toilet paper. Was moved to a second room. Smelled of mold, bathroom tiles were busted in front of the tub with sharp pieces and the floor was soft. Room filthy. Room fridge was loud. Third room we were moved to was ok, smelled a little cleaner, bathroom still filthy with hair and black hand prints in the tub and walls, bugs in the light fixtures, nasty shower head, mirror still had tooth paste on it, ceiling had extreme water damage and bulging spot

10/10 comfortable, clean, quiet, impressive breakfast. I was truly blown away at the accommodations for the price. Would definitely stay again. Friendly staff too.
