Comfort Inn & Suites Montpelier-Berlin

An absolute best value for money if you are visiting Stowe or Montpelier-Berlin. We took a family trip to Stowe in December for snowmobiling. The prices for lodging in Stowe were skyrocket during that peak weekend of December. While looking for a more affordable lodging nearby, we came across this comfort-inn and glad we did the booking. The elderly lady at the reception was a kind helpful person with a good smile and a welcoming demeanor. The place was nice, clean and comfortable. Reception had coffee, water and cookies. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was not too fancy but still decent given the price we paid. The place was ~20 minutes from Stowe village. We would stay here anytime we are passing by or even close by. Very affordable and best value for money!

This was our 2nd extended stay here. This time we were here for 8 nights in Nov/Dec and again enjoyed our stay. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, and there was plenty of free parking. We managed to get a really good price for the time so that was great, which included free hot breakfast. Beds and pillows were very comfy, and a good hot shower with great pressure. The apartment and bathroom were very clean with lots of space, and the communal dining area was also always clean. Generally the surrounding rooms and hallway were very quiet. It’s an easy drive to Norwich University, and close by to local restaurants, shopping and a great supermarket across the road. Everything is convenient. The only 'con' was our son said the sofa bed was uncomfortable but he was only there for 1 nig

Good location. Only place in the area with a kitchenette. Good bed and room layout. Generally helpful staff. Couldn’t go higher than 7 as it’s in need of some work. The shower is a bit grungy. The lobby beverages use an old thermos system and can be found barely warm. The heating system can overheat.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and used it as a base for access to Sgarbush. The hotel is conveniently located close to I89 and has plenty of parking. The room we were given seemed to have been recently renovated but the AC/heating was still noisy.|Breakfast was average and it took forever for the food to be replenished. When we arrived, several people were waiting for food.|The major issue was the front desk that seemd overworked. It started with advice on how to connect to internet (supposedly if you enter the room number you will be charged for it - that was incorrect). It continued with information on brekfast food (the highly praised VT Mapple Syrup was not to be found in the morning - maybe it was the empty container?) It ended with declaring that housekeeping will not clean

The place is the highest value for money. Nice and clean. Very friendly staff and polite front desk. Nice and clean room and a decent free breakfast. Front desk went above and beyond with every request. Frankly, i found this hotel to be better than many higher star hotels that I have stayed before. I won't miss this place whenever I visit Vermont or surrounding areas..
