Comfort Inn & Suites East Greenbush - Albany

This hotel is very convenient for us when visiting relatives in the area. Our room was very nice, clean, comfortable. The breakfast was good and nicely set up. The lobby is lovely, employees pleasant and helpful. My only disappointment was that none of the cardio machines in the workout room worked. Other than that, perfect

I had such a great stay at the Comfort Inn East Greenbush this past weekend. I was in the area for an event in Hudson, and just needed a comfortable place to land for the night. Pulling up to the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was immediately adjacent to a gas station and Dunkin, both of which made the morning much easier. I had spoken to Sarah at the front desk by phone earlier to confirm a couple details, and was pleased to find Sarah still at the front desk. She is a star employee and if she's there when you arrive, you'll be well taken care of! The lobby was really nice, clean, and nicely decorated. I struggle to give this place 2 stars. Having previously had several pleasant experiences at this hotel things have changed. The hotel is under renovations and management is not handling this well at all. Check in is 3PM. I arrived 2:30 and was told my room was not ready but could wait in the lobby. OK, I understand. Check in is 3 PM. Well 3 PM arrived and I was told the room was still not ready but would be ready by 3:15. 3:15 arrived and the room was not ready. 3:30 arrived and the room was not ready. At 3:35 I requested ANY available room at this point. The room we were given, though not in the location desired (apparently an atomic bomb had hit our original room!) was next to the staff laundry room. We were on the road in a snowstorm when we decided we were going to have to stop for the night. My wife booked a room at this Comfort Inn, but we realized pretty quickly the roads were too bad, and it wasn't safe to continue. This was a historic snowfall, with about 24 inches falling in 24 hours. I called within an hour to cancel the room, and was told by the front desk that wasn't possible; I'd have to wait until the next day to speak with someone who could help.||The next day I called back only to be told to call back Monday, when manager Amir would be available to help. I did as instructed, and was told Amir was in a meeting, but should be available within the hour. I stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites for 13 nights, and it was very reasonably priced for an extended stay. The hotel was clean, quiet, and extremely comfortable—perfect for a longer stay. The staff was amazing and truly made my experience special. I even spent my birthday here, and they went out of their way to make it memorable—thank you for making my birthday special and for making bacon too! 😂 That extra care really meant a lot. The interior and large windows make the space feel bright and inviting. I love natural light, and it made the stay even more enjoyable. As a student, this was the perfect environment to both study and relax—peaceful, welcoming, and well maintained. Overall, this hotel offers great value, comfort, and outstanding service.
