Comfort Inn Story City

We had our family Christmas party at the Comfort Inn in story city Iowa. We had 15 adults and 13 children. The pool was large and warm, which was greatly appreciated! We rented the meeting room and it worked out wonderful for our large group. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Heather did a great job with our reservation and with any issues we had she resolved them immediately.

We found our hotel between the Twin cities and Des Moines! ||Great little place, nice and quiet, (Friday night stay memorial weekend) very comfortable bed. Newer decor and sofa, smaller TV, but adequate with Directv. |Vending machines on site. ||Pool looked nice, work out room was smaller, but adequate. |Towels and bedding were super soft! Decent pillows, too. Great shea butter soap. Shampoo and conditioner are on tap in the shower. ||Hairdryer was only about 1,000 watt, so bring your own if you have a lot of hair.||Bring a nightlight if you need one, I needed mine. ||Bath has a fan which is great, but it is wired to the bathroom light, so you turn one on, they both come on- can be loud. ||Breakfast was great. Ten due to one of the friendliest staff I encountered in years. Followed by a very clean and comfortable room. The finale was the morning breakfast. The widest breakfast selection of assorted choices that everyone would be tickled with joy. I’m out 200 nights a year, and I’d have to say, all around pleased with the people who run this hotel.

This is an average hotel. It is NOT quiet at all. I heard every slamming door, all evening. At least it does seem clean. However the most important thing about a hotel, to me, is the bed. This bed really sucks. I had already taken a shower before I remembered to check. They are probably all this way though... HARD and worn out🤨 I used 25k pts to stay here too. What a waste!! I should have gone to the super 8 up the road and then I would have only had to use 7,500 pts🤦🏼‍♀️ So sick of this BS!!!

Friendly people staffing the Comfort Inn. Very clean and comfortable room. Nice breakfast with 3 choices of meats to go along with the eggs and potatoes. Biscuits and gravy were tasty. Quiet. Pleasurable stay.
