Comfort Inn Powell - Knoxville North

We stayed a night traveling i75 in Kentucky. We stopped because it was close to the freeway, well priced and allowed dogs. The room was very nice. Clean and well maintained. Where was a chair and a desk, and a microwave. Nice amenities at this price point. The beds were clean and comfortable. The sound proofing between rooms was above average. We didn't hear anything that night. The housekeeping staff were very friendly. The free breakfast was very good- they had biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, various bread and yogurt. Coffee juice and tea were available. It was a good experience all around.

We moved rooms our first night because there were ants all under the couch . They moved us to a room directly below . We ended up checking out early between saw ants in the bathroom. The toilet in our room didn’t flush right and was running The gym would benefit from a bike , free weights and wipes to clean off the equipment. I have never seen a fitness center without something to clean the equipment. The staff were nice but didn’t really care at all about our inconvenience in moving rooms . The only things I can say that were not terrible are breakfast and housekeeping. Both of those were good . I absolutely wasted money staying there . I can’t believe it was over $900.00 for such mediocrity.

Yes I gave them 5 stars. My experience was top notch. The check in was quick, the room was clean, the bed was comfy (room 324) and the breakfast was great! Yes it is getting a little run down but they are working on it. Let’s talk about the breakfast. They have sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, hot waffles and honey buns. Of course they have cereal, bagels, yogurt and lots more. So if you are looking for a great place to sleep over try this hotel. Oh and it’s near lots of restaurants.

I wanted to give it a 5 star. But when we got there, the pool was closed for maintenance. I was met with, “we are sorry but we can’t post it.” Um🤔yes you can?🤨 you have a FB page. “We are partnered with the hotel down the hill, you can go there with your key.” I booked a mobility room-hello? The next day-they fixed it but by the time we were able to go enjoy it-they closed it again for maintenance. The rooms are quite nice, honestly but I feel we should’ve been discounted the cost of our stay. The only reason the room rates are what they are is because there is a pool. So the obvious is-customer service-do what you can to do please the guests. Next time I’ll know to call before we book.
