Comfort Inn Edgewater on Hudson River

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It was pleasant to spend time there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, especially the girls at the front desk — they were very kind and helpful. The view from our window and balcony was beautiful, which made the stay even more special. The shower was very clean, and we appreciated that housekeeping maintained the room daily during our two-night stay. Everything felt safe, our belongings were untouched, and the room had everything we needed. One small detail — the shower had shampoo and conditioner, but no body wash. Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel last weekend and it was not so great. We stayed here before in 2023 and thought to make another trip back to Edgewater for a relaxing getaway and stay at the same hotel as before because we didn’t have any problems previously. This time, the Wi-Fi barely worked. It kept going in and out on both of our phones. My boyfriend was not able to hook up his Xbox to the wifi, which we have never had a problem doing at any hotel ever. This was super annoying. The night shift front desk person was not very pleasant. When we called and asked for more towels and pillows, he seemed as if it would be a problem for him, and said that we would have to come get it because he didn’t have anyone to bring them to us, which was fine. Check in was quick and easy and the room was clean and comfortable. I had a solid night's sleep, and would come back to stay for a longer trip if needed. Breakfast was fine; coffee and hot water from a button press machine, not a thermal carafe. I did appreciate the hash browns in addition to the eggs and sausage. Pears in the fruit bowl with the oranges were also a nice touch.

Clean, friendly and no frills. We were greeted with a smile and the front desk person was equine accommodating with extra towels and directions.|Our view of the Hudson was incredible…great find!!

You don't need a car to get there. You can take from Manhattan buses 158 or 188. The only thing I didn't like about it was the breakfast section. Is limited and if you go downstairs at 9am, you may not find variety left. The room was comfortable, and big. We stayed on the 3rd floor with whirlpool inside the room. I recommend you to call to the hotel after you book online just to double check your reservation.
