Colonial Inn Mercer - Grove City

I stayed here for 1 week. I dont understand all the bad reviews? The room was very clean as were all the bedding. It is a great place to stay if you are looking for a budget hotel. The fridge and microwave all worked well. The heater also worked great. Check in and check out were seamless. The bed was also very comfortable. They do not offer daily maid service, they will get you extra towels if needed. I was okay with this. It was also a very quiet motel with plenty of parking. No onsite laundry, but a laundromat is literally 3 mins. away.

There was certainly some effort put into this place, but unfortunately it was not enough to make the place feel clean or welcome. The whole place seems to need a major over haul. The bed covers had stains on them, the sheets and pillows had hairs on them, there were bugs in the bathroom, the vanity was falling out of the wall, the furniture is well used and beat up, and the blinds don't really cover up the window all the way. On the positive side, everything in the bathroom worked, the temperature and humidity of the room were very comfortable, the fridge worked, and the front desk lady was kind. The room as a whole was functional. I'm not mad or even upset by the experience, but I had to really ignore a lot of things to not feel completely grossed out when going to bed. I think this place

Stayed here one night on my way to Ontario and the managers gave me an upgrade. Security was not a problem. The unit itself was immaculate and everything worked well. The motel is old and needs a complete upgrade but my biggest complaint was no Wi-Fi and not even hot coffee the next morning. The owners did recommend a great restaurant to me. They were very pleasant and I enjoyed talking with them.

Absolutely disgusting. The smell of mildew - or whatever it is - holds a barrier around the outside of the whole place...you smell it as soon as you get out of your car (and i bet i can smell AND taste it for days). TV does not work. Lamp does not work. Old, stained towels. Looks like they're doing "construction"...I dunno. Worst hotel/motel/inn/hostel experience fathomable. This place should be condemned.

Lousy! Worst "motel" that we've EVER used!!!!!!!! Roach, dirty, filthy, lamp had to be plugged in every time it was used, dark. dark. dark!!!! Smelled SO bad!! Nowhere to hang clothes! No wifi!! Drawer had no bottom.Fridge froze EVERYTHING! They did replace it. Not like the pictures at all!!! Will NOT recommend!!!!!!!!
