Cod Cove Inn By BW Signature Collection-Boothbay Harbor Area

We stayed overnight at the Cod Cove Inn, a charming hotel located 1.5 miles from Wiscasset. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful fall foliage and flowers landscape the entrance. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel features a patio, though a management notice advised against opening the sliding doors to prevent bugs from entering. The room also included a microwave and refrigerator. Breakfast, which starts at 7:30 a.m., offered a limited selection with no hot items—the eggs and biscuits were cold, though there was a pastry and waffle station. The hotel was wonderful. Room was spacious, clean, beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good, fresh made muffins and biscuits. Fresh hardboiled eggs and make your own pancakes. Along with assorted breakfast items. Front desk staff was friendly. The location was a little off the beaten path, but close enough to Booth Bay Harbor. Would stay again!

The room was clean, location quiet and beautiful. It is run like a bed and breakfast with no staffing during the day at times and definitely no staff after 8 pm at night. The free breakfast is from 730 am to 930 am and there is a sign NOT to take food out. There is a sign posted in the room NOT to open the sliding door because of bugs coming inside the room. Both signs are not very welcoming. Lastly, there is NO housekeeping or change of towels UNLESS you request it. Lastly, there is no elevator so make sure you know this and can manuever yourself and luggage up and down the stairs. My husband and I are from FL and did enjoy our stay even with the quirks of this hotel.

The location of the hotel was fine. Upon arrival, there was nobody there at the desk to check me in with no sign or notice that they would be back. I had to call the hotel to ask for somebody to come. The furniture is very nice and looks like it once might have been a nice hotel, However, the room showed abject neglect. See the pictures of the door. In addition, there were two heaters in the room. The one did not work and the other one was behind a sofa that block the airflow. I moved it as far away from it as possible to just get some heat. It would turn on loud loudly every 15 minutes to half hour and then turn back off, waking me up throughout the night. It had a “constant fan” setting that would’ve helped if it actually worked In addition, I woke up coughing every morning Fro
