Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Waynesboro

We have stayed at the Cobblestone Hotel in Waynesboro for the past three years while visiting my 97-year-old mother-in-law, and each stay has been marked by genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff has always gone out of their way to help us feel at home during what has often been an emotional time for our family. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and very reasonably priced, which has made repeat visits easy and stress-free. Most recently, after my mother-in-law’s passing, the hotel was especially gracious in helping us host a family dinner and post-funeral reception in their meeting room. It meant more to us than we can say to have such a welcoming, supportive space to gather as an extended family. There were pros and cons on this stay. We had 3 rooms. Two of them were lacking in preparation. One had no toilet paper (resolved quickly), had cookie crumbs or something similar on the bed and in the chair. Floor appeared to not have been vacuumed at all. Bedding in two of the rooms looked almost like someone had slept in the bed already. Very odd. The hotel had a bar in the lobby area but when we tried to get a glass of wine one night, the only person on duty said she wasn't certified to serve alcohol. Not sure why you would advertise a bar and then not have someone on duty to serve. I understand it's hard to get workers, but then offer another option...perhaps offer miniature bottles as a courtesy to guests when there's no one working to serve at the bar. The location was grea

Positive: Convenience Negative: Heat / ac not working properly. Had to run the ac at 60 to keep the room at a comfortable temp even though it was 30 degrees outside. Very odd.

The hotel room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very professional and friendly. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the selection for the breakfast. There could have been more variety and fresh items.

I've stayed here a few times while visiting family. It's a nice place, the staff is always friendly and the property is well well cared for. They always decorate nicely for the holidays.
