We rented one of their bunk house campers already on a site. We only stayed for two nights. The campers are very nice inside except for all the spiders we had to get rid of when we arrived. That's not what you want to be doing at 8 pm on a Friday. I expected that they just put bedding on the day of or day before and there shouldn't be spiders in doorways or windows especially near beds. Saturday evening when I went to use the stove I found out there is no cooking utensils. There's a few pots and a frying pan or two but nothing to use to cook with unless you use regular silverware. They have a regular coffee pot but it needs filters and it should be advertised on the site. It should not say just bring your clothes and food, especially needing more items to cook with. I can assume people pro
My wife and I are seasonal campers and absolutely love our weekend getaways here. Our grandchildren have a blast — they can’t get enough of the Aqua Glide and enjoy cruising around on the golf carts. There are always fun activities for kids during the day and creative events that bring campers together, making it easy to meet new people and feel part of a community. Yes, prices have gone up a bit over the years, but honestly, what hasn’t? I still feel the rates are fair and comparable to other parks. Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend escape or a full summer of camping, this is a great place to relax, unwind, and make memories.
I was a visitor to friends camping there. I stopped at the office for directions to their camper, was greeted by Madison who gave off the impression that I was bothering her asking for directions. Like I was bothering her by being there and wanting directions. Very rude and unfriendly. The campground was in desperate need of a sprucing up, looked very run down in the common areas. I feel for the people who have campers there and take pride in maintaining their area in a pleasant and welcoming manner. If only the common areas were as nice. I was going to ask about renting a space for my camper but decided not to because of the unwelcoming surroundings and staff. Save your money and look elsewhere for your camping enjoyment, this is not the place.
TL/DR: We won't be going back. Claremar Twin Lakes is a beautiful campground. But expensive, especially after Labor Day when there are no amenities. The pool is closed, the beach is closed, the inflatables on the water are gone. And they still charge nearly $100 a day. It's not really worth it. If you don't have the amenities available, then you shouldn't make campers pay for them. We have a three wheel golf cart but as of the time of our stay there was nothing in their terms and conditions that said three wheel golf carts were forbidden. Management told us we couldn't drive it, but weren't able to tell us why. The employees made it right, I will give them that. They refunded us the golf cart fee (yes, they charge you $10 a day to bring your own cart or you can pay $85 a day to rent one o
I gave 2 stars but was torn between a 5 or 2 star rating. We've been transient campers for over 40 years and have visited Claremar in the neighborhood of 70 times. They have done a beautiful job adding amenities, new sites and overall appearance of the campground. Claremar is 40 min. from home & we've always had a great time there, rain or shine. Those points amongst others not said I give them 5 stars. Now the 2 star rating side. Five of us visited the weekend of 10/3/25 and had 2 sites in what we call the horseshoe (F26 - F27). Three of us got an earlier start on Fri than expected and arrived around 12:30. After a bit much of instructions at the gate we we're told we would be charged an additional $40 ($20 per site) for "early" check-in because it's before 2:00. Seriously? I said again,
