Chestnut Tree Inn

Pretty much of a dump. Rooms were not serviced during our two day stay. No refresh for towels, coffee service or anything else. Our room was not touched by cleaning staff at all. Noisy air conditioner and few amenities in the room. Price was more than we would have paid at another more well kept national chain. Breakfast considered was a brown bag with a bottle of water, muffin, granola bar and fruit cup. Not like we were usually provided. If I hadn't already paid for the two days we would have left and went to a more well kept property.

We stayed in a lovely room. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was immaculate. Unfortunately due to the Covid guidelines we missed experiencing the hot breakfast, but the hotel provides a goody bag for guests. Contrary to the Harrah's hotel, this property provided coffee machines, microwaves, etc., in guest rooms. All in all a very nice property with clean, well appointed rooms. friendly helpful staff, and attractive grounds. Will definitely stay again.

Pros: Breakfast! Great customer service! Nice location! Cons: Thin walls. Questionable cleaning practices. The room was clean but we did find a phone number written on a scrap of paper tucked into the towel in the bathroom. Not sure what that was about. One lamp had a short in it and the toilet was reluctant to flush. Other than that the price was great and we enjoyed our stay. PS this is a motel as most mountain places are. The pictures do not really let you know this.

This is a quite clean place. The pics speak for themselves. I came early and I had been in town for a few days so it was nice that they have a laundry. The views are spectacular so coffee outside in the morning is a must. But you gotta have the free FULL breakfast. That is amazing to actually get a real breakfast on property and FREE!!! They have a nice pool in a great spot with great sunlight. They have a play ground and just some beautiful places on the property with fountains and such. The grass and grounds are gorgeous. The registration office has areas where you can sit at the fire or sit in the sun room. There is what I would call a convention center and it's great. Beautiful art and pictures through the halls, that will help you appreciate where you are. If you are going

This was the worst stay we've ever had at a hotel. The three stars are coming from the customer service we received. Overall, the staff was great. First, our mini fridge was not working. They replaced it super fast and with no complaints. Next, our pillow cases had makeup stains. These were replaced as well. The bed was SO hard and had springs sticking out. Okay, no worries....it's only for two nights. The last straw for me was when I went to get into the shower and barely any water came out of the shower head. Only three of the holes on the shower head had water coming out and it was only mildly warm. NO HOT WATER. The little things usually don't bother me but when I couldn't take a shower I was really upset. I would not stay here again.
