Chestnut Creek Cabins

Nice cozy cabin. Real cabin feel. Clean and nicely decorated. I have stayed here more than once. I would recommend it's also close to Chestnet Creek and walking trails. Nice porch, picnic table, and fire pit with plenty of free wood. Very quiet only can here the creek flowing, very relaxing. Cabins have kitchenette. Deer are very friendly like pets.

My husband and I just returnd home from staying in Cabin #4 for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. The cabins are literally right on the New River Trail (which is a fantastic rail trail) where we rode our bikes everyday. The cabin was very nice & cozy and well equipped with coffee maker, washer/dryer/microwave, dish detergent, etc. The shower had great water pressue which felt so good after a long day of riding! Very rustic and serene which is exactly what you would want in the beautiful setting it was in. We sat at the picnic table at night drinking a glass of wine and watching the wildlife all around us. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 was that the iternet was down but why would you WANT to be on your computer in the little slice of heaven???

We rented all of the cabins and Terry even allowed us to camp on the grounds. There were about 40 of us friends. The cabins are next to the bike path. We all enjoyed a great ride and then spent our evenings under the pavilion with a bonfire. I highly recommend Chestnut Creek. We are already planning our next year's trip.

This place is wonderful. Nice cabins set back in the woods along the New River Trail State Park bike trail. The owner was great to work with. We will be back. ||Close to the cozy town of Galax. Check out Creek Bottom Brewery. Great food and beers.

Such a wonderful, quiet get away! It was a great way to escape internet and tv and enjoy the sound of the river and peacefulness of the mountains. There was wifi in the cabin, but it was t very great (which we enjoyed because we didn’t want to have it anyway). There are two tv’s (one small one in the living room and a slightly bigger one in the bedroom) that didn’t connect to cable. The one in the living room had a built in dvd player. There was a beautiful front porch with 4 rocking chairs and you can hear the river just through the trees. There was a back porch as well that we didn’t use as much. We had a wonderful outdoor seating area with a picnic table and a fire pit (you can purchase a bundle of wood from the office for $7). There was a beautiful pond on the property and it is within
