Chesapeake Bay North Inn

Staff here were super helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was amazing. The rooms are fair with elevator access to above floors as well as open stairwells. There is an indoor pool plus Jacuzzi that is usually open and very well maintained. Some amenities could be updated for the 5th star.

The hotel was fairly nice overall. When we first entered the lobby, I was a bit worried because the floor and rugs looked somewhat dirty, and the building itself seemed a little old with tiled flooring. There was also a noticeable smell of cigarettes. However, once we entered the room, it was much better — clean, with no bad odors or stains. As I mentioned, the building is a bit old, and the lighting is dim. The bathroom doesn’t have an exhaust fan, so the smell spreads into the room after each use. That said, it’s clear that they have made an effort to renovate the rooms and improve the décor. The TV was excellent — honestly, it’s the first hotel TV that actually worked properly and allowed us to enjoy watching without needing any subscriptions, unlike most other hotels we’ve stayed in. T

We were placed in a room just off the lobby/breakfast area. Wasn’t thrilled with that as we usually stay on a higher floor. Around 10 PM we started to smell the odor of bacon cooking. It continued for several hours and was clearly coming into our room from the 3/4”” gap under our door. Around 2AM I had to put the sheet edge over my nose to get relief from the - by then- the smell was pretty repugnant. Awoke just before 8 and then the fire alarm went off. Went into the hall to check the situation and staff was standing around, nobody evacuating. I asked a staff member about the bacon smell and she just said get a higher floor next time. We dressed and went to the so-called free breakfast. The scrambled eggs were terrible and the bacon and potatoes were just scraps with no one refil

got a rash from the water! smelt like weed or smoke the whole time, staff was friendly but customers were a little to friendly with the youngins… ifykyk. not happy. gym bar broke when i tried lifting.. treadmill didn’t start, but was advertised a functioning gym and pool! breakfast was a blast, hot and yummy!!

The only negative was that the pool was closed for renovations. Staff was helpful, friendly, and courteous. Room was clean and we'll maintained. Bed was a little more firm than my liking but still okay. Lighting could have been better. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of selections. I would stay again!
