Very comfortable, great atmosphere, warm staff. Very clean and they went above and beyond to let us in early. Cool design too - would confidently recommend to a friend! Right in the heart of Germantown within walking distance of Otto’s Market

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price We stayed at Central House in Germantown over Memorial Day Weekend (2025) and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations—especially given the nearly $300 per night price tag. While the late-night text at 9:30 PM checking on our arrival was thoughtful, the positives ended there. Loud music blasted from the bar/restaurant downstairs well past 11pm, hours after it had closed for business and making it impossible to go to sleep. The breakfast was a major letdown. It was entirely self-serve, with no real offerings (old stale grocery store bread, butter, yogurt, and jam was all they had). They had run out of such basics as milk and coffee by 9 AM, in addition to "nice to have" basics like fruit (except a half eaten banana), and shockingly, there

This hidden gem is a perfect spot to stay in the Hudson Valley. The owner Martin is welcoming, warm and caring. A pretty Inn with charming rooms a few miles south of Hudson, NY. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms had high end toiletries. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, a variety of breads, muffins and cereals, along with spreads and smoked salmon. When Martin learned we had canceled our trip to Paris due to a Covid restriction, he surprised us with croissants for breakfast. ||There is always coffee, tea and cookies available. Can’t wait to visit again.

Our Empire State cycling tour group recently stayed at the Central House. The accommodations were comfortable & clean. There were no eateries in the area (accessible by bicycle) on our particular night, so management was kind enough to pick up our pizza order from 6 miles away.

My unplanned stay at The Central House could not have been more perfect. Martin, the owner, took me in on day one of my bicycle tour when I fell 20 miles short of my goal. He was accommodating and kind and made me a burger I will never forget. The house itself is gorgeous. Comfortable, and interesting. It is decorated beautifully and Martin is happy to share its history if you ask. The room was comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. Breakfast was laid out when I got up and again, was just what I needed. If you are anywhere near Georgetown and looking for a reasonably priced, great place to stay, I cannot recommend The Central House more. It is a great place to regenerate and prepare for the next day's adventure.
