Central House Family Resort

Loved central house. Rooms were good sized, clean and comfortable. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. They made you feel like family. Meals were varied and delicious. Not a bad breakfast lunch or dinner all week. If you are looking for a Ritz Carlton with turn down service, 5 star restaurant, pool bar, valet service this is not for you. But if you want want a family vacation spot where you can spend family vacation time, have good meals, clean pool, and enjoy simple fun things like karaoke, bingo, line dancing, a magician, play a little corn hole, volleyball, and some basket ball start driving to Beach Lake, Pennsylvania. Who knows you could be lucky like me and win some money in a rubber duck race on a Friday morning.

Food and drinks were great. The hostess was unfortunately very rude and walked away as I was talking to her and asking her for another table. I came to find out the hostess was actually one of the owners (Julia). Shocking that an owner would lack grace and hospitality.

The perfect lake family getaway. The property has been well maintained over the years, and the hospitality is outstanding. The kids run from one thing to another - kayaking or peddle boat or paddle boarding in the lake, the pool or hot tub, bocce ball, the basketball court or volleyball net, fishing in the creek. They are entertained, independent and happy the entire time. The inclusion of delicious meals makes it easy as a parent, as does the ability to relax all hours of the day whether poolside, lakeside, or one of the many shared, shaded outdoor areas. Couldn’t recommend more.

Clean rooms, good food, fun activites, friendly staff, reasonable price. I’d definitely go again as would every one of our 20+ members in our group.

Resort that identifies as a Motel in the off season. The front desk receptionist or owner is not polite and definitely could care less about hospitality or customer service. There is an upcharge for additional people staying in a queen size room. That's fine because it would be expected that you should get more pillows or towels for the additional person. Nope. Not here. Noone came by to clean the room or supply new towels either. 3 pillows and towels for Two people staying multiple nights.
