Centerpoint Campground/Horsecamp and lodge

We reserved an rv spot on there website for three nights around Christmas 2025. We chose Centerpoint Campground mainly for location to trails and so we could have a campfire. However when we went to hook up the camper to power it immediately tripped our GFCI in the camper. When we brought the matter to Steve’s attention he recommended that we park next to the lodge and use power up there or try another rv spot. So we moved to the next spot then when I went to plug the cord in it popped loudly arced and sparked in three directions. I was not shocked or burnt but certainly could have. After verifying there was a serious safety hazard, I asked for a refund which at that point he started to criticize our equipment and stated our cord was the problem? I did semi enjoy my stay here. As far as the cabin, its everything you would need, especially the kitchen. However, the entire reason I booked this place was to be able to warm-up my food and take a bath. Every year I spend the holiday camping and enjoying hiking. This year I knew I would be doing a very intensive incline that would leave me super sore ( I have fibromyalgia) and don't take pharmaceuticals. So I booked with all expectation that I would soak my old bones after the hike (I also fell and injured myself on the hike). So I was desperately looking forward to the tub... There is no way to plug the tub, so I tried a wash cloth ( didnt hold water well), then there is no valve to fill, you have to use the shower, between that and the hot water, I wasn't able to take a bath, I spent t

The campgrounds were beautiful. I loved that we had a fire pit & the shower house. I also enjoyed seeing the people with their horses. Hiled the trail for the first time & the views were breathtaking. I'd definitely come back again.

Steven is very friendly and even offered us a refund when we asked if they have horses to ride but they don’t have horses. We didn’t want to cancel and stayed at his very cozy nice place. Beautiful views. And a famous 3 hour long hike is right across the road. He has everything you need: water, shower, kitchen, bed, linens, towels, soap, etc. When we drive again we’ll definitely come back to stay here. Thank you, Steven!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet campground. It was close to all the outdoor adventures, while still giving us the opportunity to have a calm place to return to in the evenings. We stayed in an RV site, and our 33ft fifth wheel had no problems, though, if it had been muddier it may have been tricky. Steve was very hospitable and provided any information we needed on the surrounding areas. We will return for our next Buffalo adventure.
