Pool was so cold our toddler’s teeth were chattering within 5 minutes. Hot tub isn’t clean.|Rooms are outdated. Beds uncomfortable.|Staff is generally unhelpful and not motivated to problem solve.|The “resort” (LOL) is isolated and the on-site restaurant that’s “opens at 7am” for breakfast was not open as of 7:25am, nor was anyone around setting up so it wasn’t going to be open anytime soon. The front desk staff’s response was, “hm, maybe 7:30am?” and that was her solution.|My biggest frustration is reviews just like mine going back to October 2024, at least (I stopped looking) are the same, and met with the SAME EXACT response: ‘we’re so sorry, we value your feedback, will be used to help future stays, blah blah blah’. Is off-season so I truly couldn’t tell you if this is any better in the summer: Pool is so cold our toddler’s teeth were chattering within 5 minutes. Rooms are outdated but fine. Beds are firm. In true Chamberlain fashion, the restaurant that opens at “7”, as of 7:25am is not open. Front desk staff then says, “hm well maybe it’s a late start today, like 7:30?”. No one knows. As the restaurant is dark and there’s clearly no one even there getting things ready, it will not be ready anytime soon. Staff is generally unhelpful when asked any question and if they don’t know they answer, no motivation to attempt to figure it out. The “store” of food and snacks has NO drinks or water, vending machines only take cash, and as the restaurant is closed, you can’t even get water unless you have cash.

Fun resort to stay at and would be a lively place in the summer and during boating season! It rained non-stop during this trip, so there weren’t many chances to get outside and explore the property. The meals on-property were worth the price and good portions. Bridges Restaurant even still serves $1 coffee! Lots of vending on site, and great walking paths along the river. Fitness facility inside doesn’t have much, so bring some of your own weights if you like to work out on the road.

When we arrived the receptionist wasn't overly friendly but whatever, when he was directing us to our room though he gave very vague directions. When I went back to ask (because there is no signage to show which rooms are where) he got frustrated. In the morning for breakfast I tried ordering the egg platter. Menu states you can order eggs anyway. I asked for egg whites (yolks make me sick). The young waiter asked the manager if that was possible and they said only with a $4 upcharge! So I ordered biscuits and gravy. The Biscuits were hard, hashbrowns were overcooked. Waiter was great. Room was nice. Unfortunately the other bits soured my stay.

Positive: "" Negative: They charge a hidden hotel fee. I always think this is a dishonest way of doing business. Be upfront and put it in the regular charge rather than hiding the charge!!!!!!
