Cedar Run Inn

This past weekend, I was riding on the Pine Creek Rail Trail with several friends. We originally planned to camp along the way, but with rainy weather we decided to stay at Cedar Run Inn for Saturday night. We were pleasantly surprised that we could have our own little bathrooms. We decided to have dinner there and the menu and ambience was delightful. The options were perfect, the food was excellent with each course carefully presented and absolutely delectable! It is clear that they desire to have every detail be perfect! We had to wait for dinner and the sitting area downstairs was perfect for our group to play games and socialize. We were here only for our anniversary dinner so we can't comment on the rooms etc. However the meal was fantastic . An amazing chef and excellent food. In addition we were entertained by at least 15 hummingbirds visiting the feeders attached outside the windows as well as many other birds in ludi g a bald eagle. Highly recommend this place for a special meal .

The Inn is a little out of the way, but it is worth the effort to get there. Walking in is like going back in time. Really great if you like history, but that is only the beginning. The staff are friendly with great service. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. Take cash or your check book because they don't take credit cards. I am planning to be there several evenings this fall.

Camped in the area and had dinner here on a busy Saturday night. Cash or check ONLY! The inside and outside are like you stepped back in time 100+ years. Got drinks at the bar and sat outside on the porch until our table was promptly ready on time. Once seated, it's 5 star views out the windows of the gorge, hummingbirds, orioles, etc. Got the cream of mushroom soup to start for $5. Was fantastic and easily a $15 bowl in any city. I got the orange duck for my entree and the Mrs got the scallops and shrimp in tarragon cream sauce over a delicious flakey puffed pastry. Portions were huge and scrumptious. See my review from August 2022. Still a great place. Room, food, atmosphere can't be beat. such a relaxing place after a day on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. This is my second time there and I am confident there will be many more. Can't beat the food or the lodging. And the staff are so nice.
