myself and 3 friends stayed in #16, the 16' ice castle, for the last weekend of walleye. I found the accommodations to be very clean and odor free. They also honored my reservation request that we be plenty far from neighbors....we were LITERALLY in our own lane, unbothered (by road noise)& moisturized (by the complimentary hygiene wipes). The smart TV was easy to use and louder than four 50 year old men needed it to be. Really idyllic spot to watch the US men's hockey team win gold. I can't recommend them enough.
Just got back from a weekend father son ice fishing trip. It was my son’s first time ice fishing. I would highly recommend Castle’s to anyone looking for ice fishing. We stayed in one of their wheel houses and had plenty of room. They don’t inconvenience you be making you refill the generator throughout the day. Fishing wasn’t the greatest but that’s how it goes sometimes. The owners are very welcoming and checkin with you during your stay.
We had a great time at Hunter Winfields Resort. We had 5 grandsons with us age 11-15. Great clean cabin, a bed for everyone. We rented a fishing boat to was old but adequate. We also did a Launch through the resort. The kids had a great time pulling in large Walleye. The resort is less than 2 blocks from the very well stocked grocery store and a thrift store (if you happen to need a pair of water shoes or sweatshirt. They are still talking about this fun trip.
Jeff, Kimberly, and the whole staff went above and beyond making sure our stay was comfortable in our ice castle despite wind chills of -30. The whole experience was great, the bait shop called ahead to get info on the spot we were fishing to get us all set up with the best bait and right tackle. Booking, check in and check out was easy and hassle-free. I will definitely be back for another trip!
Absolutely wonderful owners and ice houses! Don’t mind our stuff junking it up lol. Love them!!!!!
