Castle Rock Motel

I had to stay here long term at a time where I had no where else to go. Management was very understanding and accommodating to my situation. I was able to get my finances back under control and start over. It’s generally quiet throughout the week. The other long term guest get along with each other as well. When there are unruly guests they are removed. Heat/ AC work when it’s hot or cold out. When there was any issue management addressed it immediately. (There was an issue with the electric in my room once and they had maintenance come and fix the outlets quickly). My room had a kitchenette so I was able to cook my meals and not have to rely on eating out all the time which was very helpful. If it weren’t for the castle rock motel I would not have had anywhere to go in my time of need.

Arrived at Property. Property rundown and with furniture and junk on balconies and outside of rooms. Courtyard looked like a junk yard. Unsavory and unsafe environment. My wife did not feel comfortable or safe. Asked for refund as he took our cc information in advance. He refused to refund as cancellations had to be 24 hours in advance - we had no idea the motel was such a dump.. Reservation made on 4/3/16. Made reservation based on web picture and reviews.

This is the second time life has thrown a curve ball at me, and I have had the need to stay here long term. I stayed here in 2018 for about 10 months and Jay and his sister Jini, were absolutely amazing. They understood that I was going through a tough spot and were willing to work with me even when I was several days past the rent due date they would allow me to stay as I showed them I was trying and would always get them paid in full. Not saying they would do that for everyone, but their level of compassion and understanding is far more than the low star reviews on here left by angry customers they had to kick out. I've seen them time and time again try to work with people who are struggling and when Jay or Jini get tired of being taken advantage of or it's something they can not have he

I stayed at this motel for about two weeks. The room was clean, and the property manager was so friendly. He said good morning to me and my dog every morning. Some neighbors keep to themselves, and some were quite chatty. Everyone was delightful though, and I ended up making a dear friend that was staying while selling his house to move to the Virgin Islands. My only regret was having to leave. What a lovely place. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

Pros: This motel is in a very walkable area. We had a blast walking around this area of town. Overall in a safe area, was not concerned for my well-being. It was $85 after tax, for a hotel room that price can’t be beat. Cons: It is in need of a major overhaul. It felt a little dirty, the carpets were sticky in some places (so we ended up keeping our shoes on). It was a little loud, it was incredibly easy to hear the people we shared a wall with and those above us. But you get what you pay for!
