Carolina Inn

I was in room 209, best room here i believe. So I came here for a business trip and was extremely tired. The front desk lady was amazing. I change rooms maybe twice because I didn't like the smell. She helped me so quickly and kindly. Was weird about this place because of the review but not giving it a five star because of the white older white hair lady that works there, super annoying. Not helpful what so ever, just ignore me but seems to be in everyone elses business. Other than her, amazing service.

I had the worst experience of my life. I requested a non smoking room and after paying up front for 10 nights I went to the room and it smelled like smoke. Hotel staff was not able to provide a non smoking room. I talk to the owner over the phone and she told me that she was not going to refund my money, she said it wasn’t her fault that the room smelled like smoke. The only option I had was to leave with no money back. After driving from Michigan to South Carolina this was the last thing I wanted to do. I had to scramble last minute to find a place to stay. This behavior is unacceptable from a business owner. I’m sure I’m not the only person who has encountered issues here. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, 0 stars.

This was absolutely horrible. My daughter and I woke up with bed bug bites after staying there. We alerted management and they were terribly rude. Like us letting them know was such an inconvenience . We didn’t get to switch rooms . There was no inspection or anything . They just sprayed in the room. After this didn’t solve the problem we reported again and all that happened was the owner started screaming at us in the middle of the parking lot . Told us he would call the cops and we had to leave in 15 minutes . Than when we tried to get to a different hotel the owner already called and told them not to rent to us! Crazy! We didn’t cause any problems we were calm that man went nuts.

Air conditioning was perfect with the hot days weve been having. Best customer service with a hotel I've ever had from a presentable, friendly lady named T. She welcomed us before midnight and we were exhausted. The bed was clean, military neat, smelled freshly laundered. The parking lot was close to my room, and the inn is close to shopping and eateries. It had a large wall mount cable t.v., fridge, dresser, desk with chair and microwave. Heavy window curtains for privacy, and an automatic securely locked door at night. I was able to bring my therapy German shepherd dog too. The price is conservatively low, and I was relieved to have that valued price. To me this is a 5 star.

A fresh coat of paint can't hide the lack of care taken of this place. The room wasn't cleaned. There was hair in the tub and a dirty towel hanging on the door. There were fleas in the bed. We had to be firm when checking in because they didn't want to honor our reservation for 2 beds. The blackout curtains didn't do their job. Avoid staying at this place.
