Carlton Lodge Hotel& Suites

The common areas are outdated. The pool area was dusty dirty. The rooms were nice and updated. The young man that checked us in was very nice and accommodating. We arrived a little early and our room was not ready but we were able to get in and swim til it was ready. Breakfast was decent - eggs, potatoes, waffles, bagels, and toast.

We come here to visit family every few years and stay here. We love the atmosphere. It's homey and the staff are so nice! The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good!!! It is showing wear on the place but they are trying! This place was sold 8 months ago and is under new ownership so hopefully they will make it better. This place could really be something it used to be!

This is a very old and dated hotel. No elevator and they never seem to have a ground floor unit available. The room was clean and the Jacuzzi was awesome. The pool was a lot of fun. We stayed multiple nights and room service never made our bed or brought any clean linin. The breakfast was fake eggs and turkey sausage. If you want a laid back out of the way place with no real need for service just left alone. This is the place. Again dated but enjoyable.

I don’t usually write reviews, but as a mom traveling with kids, I feel like I have to speak up and warn other families.||This hotel was *not* what we expected — and definitely not family-friendly. The room was dirty from the start. The carpets were stained, the bathroom smelled bad, and there was dust and grime in every corner. I didn’t feel comfortable letting my kids walk around barefoot, and I brought out the sanitizing wipes within the first five minutes.||The bathroom was especially disappointing — mold in the shower, hair in the tub, and cracked tiles. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. Not exactly what you want after a long day of travel with tired kids.||To make matters worse, the staff was cold and unhelpful.
