My favorite campground on Isle Royale, also one of the most bug-free areas here I know of. On days that the Ranger III comes in, sitting on the south shore provides a lovely view of the ferry making its way into the Middle Islands Passage. Great for those like myself who enjoy vessel spotting. Pictures show some of the views trekking around the shoreline
Absolutely gorgeous views from the west caribou campground. Pretty remote so there's usually not too many people. Boaters and kayakers. There are two shelters and two outhouses, and enough space for several tents. There's a fire pit and a few beaches on the island.
This is one of the best campgrounds at Isle Royale. There is a fire pit here 👌
Great place to go exploring! Can't wait to go back!
