Captain's Quarters Inn

My family and I were there for our mom’s funeral ceremony and all the staff were so kind, caring and helpful. They accommodated my entire family with everything we needed and then some. Tracy and Irvin at the front desk were especially helpful and sincere. I would recommend the Captains Quarters hotel to everyone. The rooms were spacious and clean, the parking grounds were very lit and the breakfast was very good. Thank you Captains Quarters for making our difficult time stress free.

This is not a fancy hotel, but its pretty much exactly what you pay for. They must've read reviews because its better than older reviews lead on. For $85 a night, its perfectly fine as a place to simply sleep. It was clean enough, not perfect but nothing to freak out about. If youre lookin for a place to crash after some beers and fishing, then its the perfect spot.

We stayed at Captians Quarters in Port Aransas Texas for two days with our dog. Was over priced for What we had to deal with. all Doors and switch plates were very gross and even long brown hair stuck to the door. Sink had no drain plus so don't drop anything or its gone, shower had black mold in grout and molder around the top falling off. Breakfast was said to open by 7 but we had to call and get someone to open after 7. Food was stale and oranges we pretty rotten. It was a Monday and Tuesday during off season and we paid 100 a night and 50 dog fee and we left it cleaner then it was when we got there (had to just to handle being in it). We were very disappointed to say the least. My understanding is a couple owned it before, but now owned by a chain or something and clearly they are

Positive: The shower/bathroom was in poor condition. The shower appeared to be moldy and the toilet seat was broke. Negative: Questioning the process of the cleaning. There was left over food containers in the refrigerator. We paid $--- for one night, at this rate I paid the same for a room at the Hilton on the Riverwalk, in San Antonio. Seems rather ridiculous.

Irvin was extremely helpful and very kind and respectful. Two mornings after we got there, they started banging loudly and doing construction right in front of our room. The owners decided that an ongoing issue with the structure outside our room needed to be dealt with immediately instead of them waiting one more day to handle it. So they asked us to move far away from where we were because it had become a work zone. The room they moved us to didn’t have the same basic amenities that we had in the first room also there was the irritation of having to move rooms right before we were about to leave anyway. The rooms were okay for the price point, given it was the off season and we got a Black Friday deal, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anything more than what we paid- 55 bucks a night. Enj
