We really enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately the weather was cold and very windy. The host showed us the animals and was knowledgeable about every one of them. We had hook ups for water and electricity. We were able to watch the donkey, geese and cats from the window of our RV, so we did not miss out on the enjoyment of their presence even though it was too cold to sit outside. We would recommend this location to people as this dedication these people have to the animals is definitely genuine.
What a wonderful experience we had at this hobby farm. Hubby and I chose this location because we were going to do rock hounding at glass Butte, Oregon. What a wonderful experience. A lovely couple allowed us to experience their private farm. Their animals were enchanting, and it was a quiet and awesome time. Couldn’t recommend this more.
We stayed here overnight in late March of 2024 in our rental van. Host was absolutely amazing, and when we rolled up we were greated by an endless supply of cats! Thank you so much for having us, we'd love to stop by again next time we trek out East!
We had a truly lovely stay at Captain’s Quarters Campground. We camped amongst the geese and the resident mule. It was so peaceful, surrounded by golden plains. The hobby farm is very well maintained. Our dog really appreciated the dog park- a large fenced in area where we could play fetch safely. Electrical and water hookups. Very nice and helpful host. Highly recommend!
My wife and I loved staying at Captains Quarters! What a perfect spot if you are traveling Hwy 20, and you need a safe, clean, and fun place to stay. The Hosts are genuinely kind and love what they do. We watch a family stop who were concerned they didn't have enough gas to get them three miles up the road to the gas station; they were fine as the light JUST came on. But, instead of insisting they were fine, the hosts added a gallon of fuel to their car and refused to take money for it. We will definitely stay here again if it works out.
