Candlewood Suites Navasota by IHG

I booked a stay at Candlewood Suites on 12/16 for the upcoming weekend because it’s a newer hotel (to avoid concerns like mold) and close to Santa’s Wonderland and A&M. My granddaughter has an immune deficiency, so staying somewhere newer felt safest. The next day, my 7-year-old granddaughter was diagnosed with strep throat and Flu B. I called the hotel to cancel and asked for the manager but was told he wasn’t available. I left my information and was advised to call between 9am–4pm. I called multiple times over two days and never received a return call. I then contacted corporate, received a case number, and was told they notified the property manager and that he should reach out. They also advised me to keep trying. Such a wonderful experience staying here at Candlewood Suites. The room was very clean and the beds were soft and comfortable. I knew it was going to be a good stay when an older lady before me was checking in and Anthony was so kind and patient with all her questions. As a mother who travels with her kids I always love running into receptionist who make me feel welcome and safe. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip out here.Thanks Anthony!

extremely disappointed in my recent attempt to stay at the Candlewood Suites in Navasota. I say attempt because I left before staying the first night and asked that my reservation be cancelled. At check in we were assigned room #108. I was staying with my 5 year old son. I got to the room and the TV was not working, I could not watch live TV or connect to the streaming service. I called the front desk and the representative came to my room to attempt to trouble shoot. They were able to get the live tv to work but could not get the casting to work, I asked if they could provide an HDMI cord if they could not resolve the issue, or if they could not resolve if I could switch rooms. Stayed a few day in the this hotel last week and it is very nice!! For 1 it's brand new,the rooms are very modern and have everything you need in the room, kitchenette area is handy, the desk is very spacious to do work, beds are amazing. The fitness area is comparable to bigger and ritzier hotels. Very nice bbq area in back with plenty of tables and chairs. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. Will definitely make this my hotel of choice when working in this area, great job guys!

Unfortunately a representative at the corporate office made a huge mistake on our reservation and there was no one available to assist on a management level. As we we on our way out the door Anthony stepped in and was so kind and understanding and was able to assist with our accommodations. He is absolutely the BEST! Has the BEST customer service! Was so caring and inviting! He definitely deserves a gold star and I will definitely be back to drop him off a sweet treat! Thank you to Anthony for all your help!! |Lisa Martinez Hughes
