Bovay Scout Ranch - McNair Cub Scout Adventure Camp

Bovay Scout Ranch is an amazing Sam Houston Area Council Scouting America Camp. They host specifically camp weekends such as Trail or Treat to Adventure camps in the fall and spring. The Annual Cub Scout Fishing Derby is usually held the first weekend in May! Be sure to stop by the trading post to get camp swag and any stickers earned from fishing or trail work. Always keep an eye out for Bovie the Armadillo while your camping, working on range and target activities, or STEM projects!

Very well kept park with plenty of shaded pavilions for events. The dining hall is large enough for good size scout groups. I stayed here for one day; so, I didn't get a chance to try out the other amenities of the park. Showers seemed to be clean and easily accessible by all campgrounds. I only gave it 4 stars because I didn't have time to try out all their facilities - need more time, but first impressions are good. I did see a nice looking pool with good water features, but again didn't get to try it, only saw it from a distance.

Very well organized camping grounds for Scout's. Clean, orderly, and peaceful.

Very large campground with several large indoor facilities as well. plenty of restrooms and covered picnic tables. Adventure camp is a signature activity

Great BSA campsite! Each site is close to bathrooms. Facilities for all sorts of outdoor activities.
