Candlewood Suites Eastchase Park by IHG

Overnight stay was pleasant. Rooms were good and spacious and it had a full kitchen with refrigerator (great for longer stays). It was conveniently located near the highway but in a retail area near a great deal of food choices. We had an initial issue with the TV not getting signal but the front clerk Raye was on it and got it fixed in no time. Props to her for great customer service.

From the moment I stepped into the lobby my experience was great. It smelled wonderful. The lady named Ray that checked me in was very friendly even though the people in front of me were being extremely difficult. I always bring my own cleaning supplies but the room was so clean! I had to do the bare minimum to clean. For my own comfort I cleaned the shower floor with cleaning spray and wiped down a few things and sprayed the beds with lysol. Again, that was for my own comfort and wasn't really needed. Everything was clean and the beds were made up so nice and neat. I will continue to stay at this hotel everytime I'm in Montgomery. It was also centrally located. Plenty of restaurants and places to shop. Nearby movie theater as well.

Hotel is conveniently located in an area full of retail and restaurant options. It quietly sits back off the main road where there’s not a heavy traffic flow. The hotel is currently going through a major renovation, but the construction workers are out of the way and the hotel is extremely quiet in the evening.||The rooms have a fresh, modern look and it’s great having a full size fridge and other amenities in the room. Housekeeping has done a great job of cleaning the room ( I work for the dept of health so I just naturally do an additional cleaning/disinfecting when we check in, and the wipes all came up spotless!). The location is not very pedestrian friendly. Staff was really nice, they were able to get me checked in early so I’m forever grateful for that. They get 5 stars from me and ensure my safety in my room. There’s no breakfast, but an expensive grab and go (my water and soda ranged from $3-3.75) My biggest concern was the room itself. The door to my room appeared tampered with, I don’t believe this room is ready for occupancy until it’s fixed. The floor was sticky. There was spots on the surfaces when I checked in. I am a spray and wipe it down person when I travel so it wasn’t a really big deal. I don’t really do too much pull the sheets back because there is so many layers, so I sanitize where I’m going to place my body but strip my bed before I leave and gather towels and trash to assist

The room was not properly cleaned. There was dried urine on the outside and bottom of the toilet, and the bathroom sink would not drain properly. This is unacceptable for a hotel stay. Cleanliness and basic maintenance were clearly lacking. I would not stay here again.
