Customer Reviews
Away from urban hustle, a place to just relax. Cabins are clean and nicely kept. The area all together has mostly mom and pop shops, that makes it special. Property is kept nicely, and they were available whenever we needed something. They also lend with games, balls, books, etc. Sunrise view is great.
The campsite owner Joey is a great help, easy going solid guy. The campground character is unique, very clean, and a super location to cycle from. Showers, flush toilets, swimming very nice. Early morning breezes, the grass parking added a twist from dirt concrete lots and made our stay a pleasure. A winner for a VT stay.
My husband and I visited for one night in September. Every site has water views and the grounds are well kept. We camped but there are cottages and seasonal RV sites available. The campsites were close together, but we didn’t have any neighbors during our stay. You can’t beat the water views, though. Only downside was that they don’t allow pets. There is an office where you can borrow books, games and movies, and a rec Hall. The bathroom/showers were clean and stocked. The grounds feel like a summer camp from the early 60’s. Staff was nice and informative.
I found Camp Skyland to be a nice place to spend my first night in Vermont! The panoramic views are wonderful, and I was greeted by a friendly staff member upon arrival. Although the sites aren't very private, I felt safe while solo tent camping. The restrooms were some of the cleanest I have ever experienced at a campground! One downside that I noticed is that many of the sites are at an angle which can make it difficult for using a camp stove.
The most horrible vacation my family has ever had, upon making the reservation, we told him we had many toddlers.and a large family, we needed 3 spots. we were put in a leach field or something else! Several of us got sick. The entire place was dry and beautiful except the camp sites we were placed in. Our tents were covered in mud that smelled awful it got so bad we packed up days early and left, we were offered $100 dollars back if we left immediately after complaining of these issues. Not moved to a dry spot, he told us we were never allowed back. And to leave as fast as possible he hated the children. They were nothing but rude the entire time. I would not recommend if you have children it is very expensive and they are NOT kid friendly. If you want a traditional camping experience. This
