We checked in on a Thursday and were promptly greeted by a very sweet dog. This was the highlight of our stay and the only reason this place should have more than zero stars. We met the grounds keeper upon check in, who had so many names we never knew what to call him. For the sake of this review, we’ll call him Coco. He was covered in hair, except for his head. Coco spent his days either lurking around the playground or following women around, trying his best to separate them from the group. The mosquitos were the size of hummingbirds and they ran out of chocolate for s’mores on the first night. Coco was too drunk (the entire weekend) to go to the store to get more. The kids were so disappointed. I cut my foot open in the water and Coco was nowhere to be found for a bandage. I bl

Spent a couple nights here recently and I just have to warn future campers. There was this loud bass thumping music constantly playing from a near by home at all hours of the day. They had jet skis but they were super slow, children quizzing you on the revolutionary war, and the campfire was “manned” by this stranger who would just come out of nowhere, I think they called him “Bo Bo”? (Clearly never a Boy Scout) Honestly, the guy who lived in the camper and brought bagels every morning was my favorite.

NOT KID FRIENDLY! Try explaining this to your little one who’s so excited to go jet skiing after breakfast. When we got to the dock the caretaker, who was supposed to be taking us out was literally passed out naked face first in a pile of life jackets. The worst part is that some of the older kids at Camp painted a clown face on his butt. It was really good work too. My kid was so confused, because there was no birthday party or circus around. Lighting is good though.

Beautiful property! Only issue is the caregiver's attitude, doesn't really do much, just sits there at his cabin smiling and drinking, which was awkward for all the guests. Plus he said to call him Coco, definitely catching some weird vibes from him. Perhaps a background check of your employees before hiring would help. 1 Star.

My family has a house across the bay from Camp Colson. Except for some music that was a bit too loud a little too late some nights ( 4 stars instead of 5), Camp Colson is a fun add to our Paradise Bay community. My husband and I were looking forward to meeting Coco and his family. They “looked” like they were having fun across the Bay (but these family members’ reviews don’t lie, do they?) We are now concerned with the mosquitoes as big as small children. We also are unhappy that the family did not invite us to the parties! It’s boring here across the bay and we be happy to swim over and bring additional Pina Coladas and tacos. We look forward to meeting you all in Summer 2025! -Cynthia and Todd (big gray house in the shape of a boat kind of).
