Camp on the Kentucky

Would have given this place a 5 star— butttt, in my opinion, the entrance needed to be a little wider and leveled off to make it easier to come and go with a 5th wheel. Other than that, it was very quiet, clean, the customer service was great, and being away from the huddle and bustle of people was a breath of fresh air. Would suggest a pet place for our little fur babies to run around in. Perhaps some pet stations to dispense bags for those who don’t bring any ( we did, but did see people who forgot). It does have FAST WIFI! Great place to just “be” , (just needs entrances fixed for us big guys)

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ! Everyone should read !! Husband and I booked a 5 day/nite stay in the campground area. On day 3 we had taken our 2 miniature dachshunds to an RV site to visit a local resident across from the pool. REMEMBER this is a pet friendly site. The 2 pups get anxious and scared and started to bark. Bryan came across the road from the pool in an angry and aggressive tone stated "can you shut those dogs up, we cant hear the music at the pool. Keep in mind if you have ever been here to boomerang the music is pretty loud. It was total BS... As a therapist I have seen many clients in my time who were angry, aggressive, hostile and borderline threatening and Bryan was all the above. Nothing “wrong” per se with the camp site, but it felt very lacking. First, some positives were the fast and reliable WiFi and late check in and check out times. It was also pretty clean. Unfortunately it lacked the kind of homey or community feel I’ve gotten at other sites. It also seemed out of the way of everything, and the view wasn’t really breathtaking to make up for it. I love remote locations, but this just felt empty in the middle of nothing. The bathrooms were mostly clean, but the main doors didn’t shut properly, and there was only one shower in the men’s and women’s rooms that had the toilet in the same stall. This place is remote, but it was a great place to tent camp while my truck got worked on. The tent sites are big, the wifi is reliable, it's quiet enough that I was able to study for school during the days, and the nightlife sounds were lovely to fall asleep to. All the employees were great.

Staff was wonderful with our last minute 8pm arrival. Worked with us to make us fit on a packed night. Sites were huge and just a 2 min walk from the river. The roads getting there were narrow but very good condition.
