BWCA Campsite #1024

Saw 2 (4 on whole trip) parties doing "Lady Loop" (tough old lady though) from kawisashi lake to polly, then polly to Phoebe Lake then to sawbill. Very secluded, low water made it a hard 7 hour ride from polly to phoebe. Pulled canoe over 30 some beaver dams and multiple low water points on river. Beautiful lake, quite, great campsite, had an evening thunderstorm first night that dropped probably 6" of pounding rain 9PM to 4AM constantly. Wildlife all over moose, deer, snappers, and other critters. First night we got there, never saw so much lightning. Strong wind, worst storm I've had in 19 BWCA trips. Hammock and tarp held up well. Low water problem was solve overnight. Great fishing, views and secluded. Good times and memories. Those that do the hard work get to some

This campsite is very secluded, being that there's a long portage in order to get to it. In 2019 we had the island to ourself, and didn't see anyone else in the lake for days. Loons, eagles, beautiful views, just another day in bwca.
