Burrstone Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Stay at the Burrstone Inn over the past weekend. Everything was clean, the staff was nice. Location of the hotel isn't great unless you have a car. If you're from out of town, take note. Nothing is walkable. Reason for the review is that the bed was super uncomfortable. If I had to guess, I'd imagine the mattress itself was quite old. It felt sunken. Also the sheets were very confusing..see attached picture. It's like the sheets were for a double bed but this is a king bed, or something. Idk what they were thinking. And the pillows were super lumpy and unstructured. Other than that it was fine but quite overpriced for what it is.

Comfortable room, great coffee machine in lobby, very efficient and pleasant front desk staff. There was about 6-7 inches of snow one afternoon/evening. Our car was parked a little away from the main parking area but when I went out in the morning someone had cleared the snow from all around the car! What hotel does this? We'll definitely stay at Burrstone Inn again.

The staff here are really amazing! There are thoughtful and helpful. This is a great venue for large and small events and they are so easy to work with! John, Lindsay, and Nicki are the best! Food from the Beer Garden is some of my favorite, with all homemade specials and a wide variety. Reasonably price with great portions. The hand-breaded chicken sandwich dipped in their homemade sesame sauce is to die for!

The hotel here was really nice with good amenities but okay service. Breakfast was great. The area is big with lots of tables and we saw no lines for waffles or coffee at any point during the entire stay. 3 nights, by the way. The only bad thing we saw was the lack of housekeeping. Even though I requested towels on the paper and hung it on the door handle, it was simply ignored the entire time. We had three towels for three nights for the two of us and yes, we also both have long hair. Didn't really like that part. Again, good hotel but I'm still miffed by the lack of any room service.

Positive: Great Breakfast. Friendly Staff Negative: The room had a smell.. kind of like old dog or something similar. The window did not have a sufficient privacy curtain, especially since parking was directly outside the window. The bathroom had no ventilation and everything was damp the entire stay.
