Burkes Garden Hostel

One of the best experiences after a 16 day journey over 600 miles and 4 different states, a place where you can find peace and cantaloupe is a wonderful host to anyone who might blow in off the mountain. Definitely a must visit if your looking for peace of mind and a memorable experience in a place deemed as God's thumbprint.

This hostile is very clean and comfortable. Cantaloupe is a great host. The beds are very comfortable and long enough for me (6'2"). Plenty of hot water after a long day of hiking since they have a tankless hot water heater. The surrounding area of Burke's Garden is absolutely beautiful. My group and I were section hiking and spent five nights here. Absolutely great experience.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Perfect place to wait out a snow storm karma super close to the trail. Coffee and waffles available for all hikers, full resupply with decent prices also available. Shower, laundry, loaner clothes and lots more available. They also did sell pizza and soda. Beds were extremely comfortable, the price for the hostel was a little bit higher than average for the Appalachian trail but the experience and quality is above average too.

Beautiful valley, wonderful people, amazing stay. We arrived at 8pm and made a quick dinner, then went to bed. Woke up and chatted with a group of hikers. Set up our mobile HAM radio station and broadcast for a bit. The host not only let us set up our antenna, but also helped us run cable out to it through a window. The waffles were amazing and the beds were comfy. You may share the hostel with a few other people but we had it to ourselves for a day after the hikers left. Free wifi to. Would 100% stay again. The hostel is a short downhill walk from the trail. Free shuttle back in the morning. Hot showers, included laundry, great resupply. Got to hang out with some really neat people. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
