Budget Host

The room reaked of stale cigarette smoke, floors and bedding were stained, we found disturbing random things in the cupboard. It was right off the interstate and the windows were like the old, thin trailer house windows, blocking no sound. I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again.

Blast from the past! The rooms are dated but clean and serve their purpose. From the pink toilet and sink to the shower that actually had hot water and water pressure, this little time capsule is a reminder of all the things we gave up when we transitioned to low flow shower heads and toilets that don't wash anything down. The paint was a little rough in my bathroom, which is understandable considering age and humidity. The room is 4 block walls, you can't hear your neighbor, your neighbor can't hear you. The windows could use updated but they kept the cold out and heat in so not a lot to complain about. The office staff was friendly and welcoming, I wish every place I stayed was like this! This is not some high end luxury establishment, this is a clean, safe place to catch up on some much

My husband and I stayed here last September for one night. We were on a two weeks vacation and stayed at a different place every night. If it hadn’t been so late when we got checked in, I doubt we would have stayed. Everything from the bedspreads and curtains to the carpet and bathroom fixtures are old and outdated. The room had an odor and we slept on top of the sheet with our clothes on, only because I thought the sheet might be cleaner than what the bedspread was. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We stayed in multiple motel rooms on this trip and this was by far the worst of them.

I don't typically leave hotel reviews, but this place is special in a great way. It's like stepping into the past. As a child of the 80s, I Love the Shell Pink bathroom fixtures. It feels like visiting my grandmother in the 80s. Yes the rooms are mostly still like they were 40 years ago, but they are insanely clean. I have literally stayed in hotels a couple of years old that are in way worse condition. Caroline at the front desk, and I presume the owner, together with her husband is very friendly and helpful. Not to mention this place is far cheaper than any other hotel for 20 miles in either direction and has truck parking. I love it and will definitely be back. Easily 5 stars, they probably deserve 6 stars.
