Big Thompson Day Use Area

The views are impressive and the sites are well laid out. All have picnic tables and fire rings with drive-through capabilities. The one drawback would be the lack of electricity at these sites. (My reason for ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ instead of five.) Otherwise, they're lovely sites with easy accessibility ♿️ and all have a few trees for nice shade.

I absolutely loved this spot!! It was nice to set up a hammock by the lake and have a nice picnic by the water. This was definitely a gem of a place that I’d definitely be back to explore.

Not a bad place to camp. Right next to the water. Not much privacy between campsites however. I could hear the neighbors snoring in their tents lol. $15 per night plus $7 per day park fee. Potable water was onsite as well as vault toilet.

Great sandy beach area that the kids can play on. We camped at site #3 which sits at the top of the hill and it had a trail straight to the lake. It does get busy so you gotta get there early to claim your spot on the beach.

Fun place to be, enough tree coverage and nice lakes. You will have to pay for showers in car wash tokens and no dogs are allowed in the swim lake.
