We stayed here two nights. The park was clean and appeared to be well maintained. The sites were spacious and mostly level. We were here in November and it was very quiet and restful. Will definitely return when I am in the area again. We camped with a 29' TT, space E106.
Don't let the name fool you, Buckhorn Creek Park (according to Trip Advisor "Brushy Creek") is right on Lake O' the Pines, a rather vast body of water. There may have been a creek on the property, but the Lake is the view you see from all over this great Corps of Engineer's park. The grounds are manicured and clean. All of the sites and roads are asphalt and accommodate big rigs easily. Sites are extra-long and equipped with a concrete patio framed with gravel and a fire pit. E121 is fairly level. Utilities are well maintained and conveniently located on the site. This park offers 30/50 amp and water; no full-hook ups, but the park has a double-sided dump station. Other amenities are a boat ramp, playground, picnic area, hiking trails, swim beach, fishing dock, and group pavilions. As is t
This is a beautiful campground on Lake O the Pines 15 minutes from Jefferson, TX. It is a Corp of Egineer camp with water, electricity and 2 dump stations although the water at one was not working at the time of our trip in Nov, 2025. We snagged a pull through waterfront site, E110, set up for friends camping with a 100 ft site, 2 tables with fire rings and 2 electric & water hook ups. We noticed there was one other site also set up for friends but were side by side back-in spots. Boat ramps were available in the park with nice areas to leave your vehicle and trailer. No store or other amenities.
Nice campground. Nice facilities but they could be cleaned a little more frequently and thoroughly. We stayed for a week and had a great time. The ants were absolutely awful. We had to go purchase spray and spray daily.
Very nice COE campground right on the lake with boat launch. Campsites are concrete and level and roads in the park are asphalt. Campsites are spacious and have fire pits. We didn't use the restrooms but our friends did and said they are very nice and had showers also.
