Brooks House Suites

We stayed in the Brooks Suite for our 25th wedding anniversary weekend. We normally stay at a B&B outside of town but they unfortunately had to cancel because of a slab leak. We found Renee and the Brooks House Suites online and we're so lucky she had availability. Renee was quick and easy to communicate and book with. She even checked in with us as the first night to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything. The Brooks Suite was beautiful! The house was built in 1900 so it has all the charm of a history home. The wood floors, the architectural accents, and the original claw-foot bathtub. The house is an 8 min walk to historic downtown Mineola. Don't miss out on this place.

My friend and I stayed one night and were very pleased with the accommodations. The bed was comfy along with the quality linens and towels. The claw foot bathtub was a special treat. There was plenty of hot water and the owners had thoughtfully provided a bag of Dr. Teal's lavender bath salts nearby. I indulged...wonderful! ||The next morning, the battery was dead on our car! We called Vic and he was so kind as to jumpstart the car and give directions to WalMart for a new battery purchase. Thank you again, Vic!||Downtown is within walking distance. We especially enjoyed our evening meal at Logan's Place and were delighted with "The Periwinkle Shoppe" for a variety of unique gift items....Heather and Amy were most helpful.||We would most definitely stay here again.

The getaway weekend to enjoy the beautiful country that is East Texas was made much better by our stay at the Brooks House in Mineola. From the moment we stepped onto the rustic but tasteful wrap around porch with rocking chairs, we knew we were not in the big city any longer. The secure door keypad was easy to use and once we walked inside the cottage, a peace settled upon us. Our suite was very large, with all the amenities one would expect in a quality hotel. The sitting or living area has a large television complete with all the channels you could want as well as a refrigerator, writing desk and a comfortable couch and chairs. The original hard wood floors are a nice touch as well as the high ceilings and vintage door molding. The bedroom is spacious, with both a fan and space heater.

My daughter and I wanted a short Mother/Daughter overnight in Mineola. We really were looking for a B&B but it was not available so I took a chance on Brooks House Suites. It was so charming! It has two units which are about the same except for the bathroom. We chose to have a whirlpool bath instead of a regular bath tub and shower, which is in the other unit. We literally went back in time with the décor and historical information available in the unit. It really felt like home. Nice big living room and bedroom. And the bed was extremely comfortable! Vic met us around 8pm and was so very friendly and even gave us an option to move to the other unit but we loved the one we were in. He gave us all information about Mineola and was very gracious! I brought my wife to Mineola for her birthday. It was our first time to visit this area. We stayed in the graham suite at the brooks house. The setup is very nice, we really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front patio. The location of the house is great. A couple blocks over is a main strip of restaurants and shops. Vic made the stay easy and stress free and we really appreciated his hospitality.
