Britterige Village at Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club

Great rooms and amenities like the pools, beach access, bike rides, paddle boarding, pickleball, etc. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and parking is sufficient. Happy here for a 2nd year in a row.

Stayed here for a 2 day event. Was pretty big inside. Great view of a pond and woodland area.

The rooms are very nice! Really liked having a kitchenette and a large living room. Our balcony overlooked a lake. The walls are very thin though, which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, and you can hear your neighbor's every move (snoring, crying baby, conversations, etc). The gym wasn't opened til 8 am (I like to go very early), but there is a fantastic paved trail right near Britterige Village. There seems to be a LOT of things to do, with bike rentals, kayak rentals, golfing, mixology class, paint class, pool parties, the beach bar, they have a Fun Coordinator! I didn't eat there but I hear the restaurants are very good. The staff were helpful and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. Let's start with the positive comments: the suite was a good size, very nicely furnished, clean, comfortable bed, kitchen stocked with basics, nice balcony overlooking a pond. The grounds are very pleasant, direct access to the rail trail, and after a snowstorm, the plowing was done promptly, walkways and stairs shoveled and salted promptly as well. Now the negatives: none of the Britterige suites are handicapped accessible. Numerous steps down to the building from the parking lot, then more stairs inside. This is not made clear from the description online. We booked a lower level suite on the false assumption that we wouldn't have to be climbing stairs. Unloading and loading the car meant a lot of up and down stairs with suitcases etc. Next, the walls are paper thin. I cannot imagine stay

There is the Mansion and... well, the rest of the cottages. Can't speak for the Mansion, but other buildings are about two and a half miles from the ocean beach. On most occasions it is not a big deal to walk over there, taking part of the Cape Cod rail trail. Plus, the property runs their shuttle for the residents, which allegedly visits the beach once an hour, 9 to 4. Additionally, one can allegedly call for a shuttle pick up. The only problem with that is that some shuttle drivers are seemingly unaware with their own schedule :) , and if you call for a pick up - it is hit or miss. When a regularly scheduled van did not appear, called the number and was told no one is available. If you would like to swim in the ocean there, be sure to check the tidal chart beforehand.
