Brimstone

Totally mixed emotions on these trails. We just finished riding at the Brimstone Trails in Huntsville, Tennessee, and came away with mixed feelings. Some of the trails were really great and a lot of fun to ride. However, others were extremely rough and felt like they could easily tear up your machine. It would have been helpful to have more consistency in trail maintenance or clearer guidance on which trails are in better condition. We were also a bit disappointed in the scenery. While the area itself is beautiful, many of the trails didn’t offer much in the way of views. The waterfalls were another letdown, as they were not nearly as impressive as we expected. Overall, there were definitely some enjoyable parts of the trail system, but we had hoped for better views and better trails.

Brimstone was beautiful. The map and trail signs were very helpful. The people we met were very friendly. Its a great destination for ATV/UTV riders and we will be back. There is also a clothing shop.

We stayed at a Brimstone rental, RockyTop from 7.17.24 through 7.21.24. There were 4 of us, 2 couples. Check in for the cabin and ATV trails was easy. We drove up to the cabin, a 20 minute drive across the property (10 minutes if you use the main road). The cabin was just as pictured. It had been raining and promised to be a rainy time there so I was surprised that there were no door mats. The dishwasher was fully loaded when we arrived. No washer and dryer. Tons of stray dogs that came up to our cabin constantly. One evening, two of the male dogs got into a vicious fight. Did NOT appreciate that especially since we brought our small Maltese. Very diverse types of trails to ride from mild to wild. Rode for 3 days and did very little re rides. Try to ride with other people as there is little cell service down in the vallys incase you have issues.
