Boulevard / Cleveland National Forest KOA Holiday

My brother and I made reservations in Feb for Christmas this year. He rented the high end cabin and when we got there they only had a very basic cabin with no bed and no kitchen. It had a futon. The camp is very run down. Hot tub is broken, bathrooms shower curtains are missing or laying on the floor. There is no heat in the one I went in. We had the paw pen site for our camper and it was the only good thing except for the staff that did what the could to make up for the fact that my brother could not stay at the camp grounds ans had to go 30 miles away to find a hotel room. The new owner has let this once beautiful camp go to not even a journey!! This camp grounds is not a holiday it is not even a journey campgrounds and should not be ranked as a holiday!! Do yourself a favor and go else

Rented a tent site for my wife and I for a weekend camping/hiking trip. Very close to the nearby Valley of the Moon hiking area which was beautiful. And there is an Indian casino, Golden Acorn, with a good restaurant nearby if you do not want to cook. The campground itself was great. Very quiet. Nice staff. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Boulevard / Cleveland National Forest KOA Holiday in early October, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was lovely. The sites were spacious and shaded by big trees, with a peaceful nature trail that connects directly to the campground — and, to our surprise, ostriches wandering right by our campsite.||Angel, our camp host, made us feel welcome and well taken care of from start to finish. The park was mostly empty during our stay, which made it especially tranquil and relaxing — the kind of quiet that’s hard to find at many campgrounds.||A few small caveats: the hot tub wasn’t available during our visit, and with only two bathroom stalls near the end sites, things got a bit crowded as the weekend crowd rolled in. Booked a cabin back in February of 2025 for Christmas 2025. Supposed to have a kitchenette. We get there and it is a super tiny room with a counter and tiny microwave. That isn’t a kitchenette! Was sold a lie! This ruined our family vacation because we can’t stay there while other family in an rv can. In theory they are giving my money back but that is still to be seen.

Stayed with my family a few times before, it was one of our close favorite get aways but we unfortunately won’t be back. There was absolutely nothing to do besides the zip line for kids. The park was very run down. The bathrooms were unavailable that were by our site. The animals are unable to go and see. The pool and jacuzzi were shut down due to maintenance. The customer service women on the phone was not very friendly. Didn’t give us the spot we requested. The new ownership has let it go. Very unfortunate
