Hot as Hades, but there were only a few people there, so I tolerated it. Nice little campground, right off the road. Felt safe for the most part except for some shady people that drove through, driving right past me and purposely did not make eye contact, parked behind the bathrooms. I got scared and started packing up, then sat in my car for awhile. I was alone in the park at that point, then a worker showed up and the creeps quickly departed. For the most part, I loved it. Noice from the road, didn’t bother me. Did not walk down to the river.
its a 10$ camp ground , what can ya say .. has shade which is nice , close to willow creek for supplies, pizza , beers , gas, ice ,all those essentials .. river is near , not super easy to access... trail that can be used for enjoyment , the 20 or less sites are close together but enough greenery gives privacy , noise by the road but what do expect ..day use parking as well , vault toilets , trash recycling no water currently , but seems they are working on it .. all in all a decent stop over , after a long day of enjoying the beautiful trinity river your beat u get a few beers in ya some good food who cares bout what its missing lol
I stayed here with my boyfriend after we realized we booked our Airbnb for the wrong dates. We were on edge because the place is super cheap and super sketchy. But we didn’t know where else to stay so last minute and in the middle of no where. We were right to be on edge. We woke up to someone walking around our campsite at 2 am. We had thankfully taped the zipper door shut and had protection. We didn’t get any sleep though. The man in the campsite next to us woke up at the same time too and I think he heard them as well. They were probably just looking for things to steal. No matter what they were doing, please be careful if you come here, and don’t bring your family. There was glass in our campsite and no sink in the bathroom. It just isn’t a safe place for children or families. The pa
WORST CAMP HOST EVER. I love this campground. It is well maintained, has wonderful pools of water to swim right off the trail, and is close to Willow Creek. A group of 11 of us rented 3 campsites for the weekend for our annual float (year 8 now?) and this is where we always go. It was 102-108 degrees everyday and didn’t cool off until 10pm at least. First night the camp host told us at 930pm that we were already too loud and that quiet hours were 10pm-6am. At 10:03pm she came over and told us that we better have a Plan B for where we’re staying because we she was going to call the cops on us. Literally, no music playing, just 5 adult sitting around catching up on life. No one under the age of 38. She proceeded to tell one friend of ours (who is partially deaf) that they need to go to bed b
nice place except the campground host was really rude.it got dark at almost 930 and cooled off around 10.at 10 she came around yelling at us telling us she was going to call the cops or kick us out because quiet hrs were between 10pm and 6am we were all being mellow and just joking, laughing having a good time and she told us we all needed to go to bed and we're being to loud. our voice tones never changed all day but @ 10 if your not whispering shes coming to tell you it's your bed time and that everyone needs to go back to their own campsite. would give it 5 star because everything else is nice campsites, bathrooms running water, pricing per night. the trail to the creek has a lot of poisonoak off the trail but worth the trek down just stay on the path. overall place is nice but if your
