Bogue Chitto Water Park and RV Campground

Husband and I are on the road again and recently made a stop at Bogue Chitto Water Park and RV Campground in McComb, MS. Located just off US-98 E on Dogwood Trail, about 10 miles from town, we were impressed from the start. The campground was quiet, clean, and full of trees, which gave it a rustic, relaxing feel. We stayed two nights at site #13, which had full hookups —water, power, and sewer — for just $40 per night. The pads were spacious, featuring picnic tables and covered trash cans. Dana at the office was friendly and attentive. The secure, locked gate made us feel safe, and the weather was perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed the 6 cabins my nonprofit group Texas 4000 got to stay in. The lighting and AC were easy to use, and the showers were fantastic. The scenery was gorgeous and biking in on the trails was super fun. The staff treated us wonderfully and we all had a great experience. The cabins were super roomy for a group of 27!

I am part of a non-profit cycling team called Texas 4000 for Cancer. We were graciously hosted in the cabins at the Bogue Chitto Water Park for the evening. The park ranger, Eddie, was super informative and made sure we had everything we needed after leading the way to the cabins. ||||Large cabins sleep 8 (in beds) and small sleep 4 in beds. Can fit more on couches or floor if needed. Showers and kitchen were available and tidy. There is electricity and running water.||||The water park had a nice view of the river and it was peaceful to be so close to nature. Lots of shade with the trees. There are also more open areas there, such as a field and a gazebo space. We did not explore the area too much since we were there a limited time.

The Bogue Chitto Water Park was absolutely wonderful! The trees were so luscious and I loved the coziness of the cabins! The showers had piping hot water and I thoroughly enjoyed the appliances in the kitchen as well! I am so grateful for my stay and look forward to returning for a longer stay in the future!
