Bobcat Lake Campground

Facilities may be basic, but they're clean and well-maintained. Gates are left open in the off-season; camping is typically free from October through April. Usage during late fall and early spring is low; you may even have the place to yourself during peak fall colors. From May through September, drinking water is provided and modest fees are charged. Come early or late in the year to avoid mosquitoes. An extremely nice swimming beach is available on this same lake a short distance down the road. It is not immediately adjacent to the campground, though, but it is the nicest swimming area in this district of the Ottawa. Managed to squeeze our 40 ft travel trailer into site 8. Beautiful location right on the lake. Not great for solar but the generator managed just fine. Caught plenty of fish and had a great time. Be prepared to pack it in and pack it out, there is no trash disposal.

Small, clean, basic, quiet (with just a very small amount of road noise) - many sites right on the lake! Worked great for motorcycle camping. Mosquitoes were definitely present, but not the worst... Host was real nice guy. Closest place I could find firewood was the gas station in Presque Isle. I paid half of the $22 fee with a senior discount. Would go back.

Nice lake to take our kayaks to while camping at gogebic state campground. Lots of bluegill, crappies and bass. Had the best luck trolling ot drifting.

Amazing location with quiet camp sites. Furnished with fire pits, picnic table, and one toilet. Camp sites look directly over the water. First come, first served. Very cute
